Voys nominated for the European Business Awards

Voys was nominated for the prestigious European Business Awards last week, as National Champion, and is competing in three different categories. In total, 636 companies out of 33.000, in 34 countries, have been selected for extraordinary high performing businesses.

Voys’ nomination is not too much of a surprise, since it has been in Deloitte’s Fast50 list of fastest growing tech companies in the Netherlands every year since 2012. And also in the Fast500 list for Europe, Africa and the Middle East. The company is competing in the categories for 'The RSM Entrepreneur of the Year Award', 'The Award for Customer Focus' and 'The Business of the Year Award with Turnover of €0-25m'. Some 16 Dutch companies have been nominated and the winners will announced in June 2017.

The Awards

This year, 636 businesses from 34 countries have been selected National Champions in The European Business Awards sponsored by RSM; Europe’s largest business competition set up to recognize and celebrate business excellence. The Awards, now in its 10th year, is supported by business leaders, academics and political representatives from across Europe, and this year engaged with over 33,000 businesses.

The companies chosen as National Champions in this first round of judging represent all major industry sectors and range from small startups to large multinationals. These companies will now move to the next stage of the competition, which includes a video presentation and a public vote.

The next round requires Voys and the other the National Champions to make a presentation video, telling their unique story and explaining their business success. The Awards’ independent judges will award the best of this group the ‘Ruban d’Honneur’ status and the selected companies will then go on to the Gala Final in 2017.

Separately, in a two stage public vote, the videos will be hosted on the European Business Awards website, and the company that receives the most votes in their country will become the ‘National Public Champion’. Last year over 227,000 votes were cast as companies were supported globally by their clients, staff and peers, as well as the general public.
