VentureClass Women Entrepreneurs in the Spotlight

It's our pleasure to announce on Thursday evening 23 May, in collaboration with TheNextWomen and Northern Knowledge. For this special VentureClass we are shining the spotlight on women entrepreneurs, with several pitches, and keynotes by Suzan Wierenga of KAW Architecten and Hilde Hacquebord of Diataal

Suzan Wierenga

Suzan Wierenga is married to her 1st love; KAW. She has been working at the agency since she graduated from the HTS in 1997 in architecture. In the meantime, her network in the Netherlands is large, she is a partner and she is on the board of KAW.

Music is a big passion for Suzan. She regularly visits concerts or festivals. It brings together people with something in common that creates special encounters. That is exactly what Suzan does in her work. She sings the critical note and ensures that the right people come to the table. Together with the project team or the resident, she sets off for the right, shared goal. Helping disadvantaged neighborhoods not only physically but also socially. Providing people who just can't make it better, a better life is her motive. And above all, retain the entire process through a combination of technical and human knowledge.

Hilde Hacquebord

Diataal BV originated in 2011 from the University of Groningen. The company was founded by Hilde Hacquebord, who laid the foundation from her research. She leads a team that also consists of young professionals from different disciplines.
In addition to substantive testing expertise in the field of Dutch, English and arithmetic, everyone at Diataal has a passion for education. The tests that are developed are intended as tools for teachers to improve education and to help students grow. In addition, they strive for the highest quality of scientifically based tests and a progressive way of handling test results. At school, in the classroom and always with an eye for the needs of individual students.
Alongside Diataal Hilde still works at University Groningen, where she develops and teaches courses in Applied Linguistics.

TheNextWomen provides female founders and investors access to knowledge, capital & network.
With TheNextWomen membership and TheNextWomen Crowd Fund, we connect with each other and the ecosystem to enlarge the influence and impact of successful women. In this way, we help to build financially healthy and strong companies. We have two different programs that help us achieve this goal.
